Calling all Local Young People (ages 12-25) to join our sustainable restyling workshop with Nina Gbor from War on Waste!

Sometimes we get new stuff when we’re bored of our clothes or when we have an event to go. This leads to more stuff we don’t need and therefore more fashion waste that pollutes the environment. Enter the art of sustainable restyling. What if you could create fresh ‘new’ outfits from your existing wardrobe that also work for your events without spending anything? Come to this workshop where Eco Stylist, Nina Gbor will show live, practical restyling demos with models where you’ll get easy and simple ways on how to use 1 garment in at least 5 different ways for different types of occasions.

This event is part of Randwick City Council’s Eco Living Festival.

Ideas for individuals, communities and society to initiate a more holistic circular clothing economy for a healthier planet. This session will also feature a live restyling demo showing how to restyle one garment in multiple ways for multiple types of occasions and look stylish while reducing fashion waste.

Presenter 
Nina Gbor is a sustainable fashion educator, eco stylist, speaker and clothes swap host of over 12 years. 
Nina works with councils, schools and community groups across Australia to create a more holistic sustainable fashion future. She’s a guest contributor on War On Waste season 3 and the Director of Circular Economy & Waste Program at The Australia Institute.
